The Beloe Fellowship

The Beloe is our top scholarship. It awards a single, outstanding post doctoral researcher £5000 a year for a maximum of three years. That's a potential £15,000 for the personal use of the Fellow.

We make no bones about it, the Beloe is aimed at high flyers. It is our way of encouraging development of our craft. It is an award for past achievement and continuing excellence.

The successful candidate will come from one of our partner universities and be involved in the field of development leading-edge, scientific instrumentation.

The Fellow will be expected to become a SIM Freeman and to attend appropriate Livery functions. We also expect an annual report. At the end of the Fellowship, it is usual for the Fellow to apply to be clothed in the Livery.

Remember, there is only one Beloe Fellow at any one time.

For the next application date, contact your university representative (see Postgraduate Awards).
