Arkwright Scholarships

The SIM Charity contributes to the Arkwright Trust, one of the most prestigious engineering scholarship schemes in the UK. Arkwright choose high-calibre candidates from participating schools and colleges and helps them achieve their dreams.

Each year, Arkwright offer SIM three outstanding scholars for us to take under our wing. These scholars are awarded £300 a year by Arkwright for their two A-Level years. But that's not all! SIM additionally offer these high-flyers the chance to be mentored by experienced and well-connected Liverymen by becoming apprenticed to them for four years and you could pick up a total of £2600. But remember, your school must be affiliated to Arkwright and you need to apply in year 11. If your school or college is not already affiliated they can apply at the same time as you! Your school will receive £200 as well.
