Temple Bar

Consort’s visit to Temple Bar followed by lunch

The Master’s Consort, Brian Fishwick, is pleased to invite all current and deceased members’ partners to join him for an interesting insight into an ancient London tradition and then an informal lunch on 26 May 2026.

The plan is to meet at 1030-1045 hrs at Temple Bar, Paternoster Square, London, to witness the ceremony of the passing of The Kings Baton through Temple Bar.

We will then move into Temple Bar, the smallest Livery Hall in London, home to the Architects. After a refreshing glass of something fizzy, we will be given a presentation on the history of Temple Bar, by Grant Smith, the Education and Outreach Officer, where all will become clear.

From there a short 3min walk to lunch at Côte St Paul. Where a very reasonable prixe fixe menu can be had for only £27.50.

The cost of the visit to Temple Bar is £15. Please pay for this via the booking form below. If you book for the visit, it is assumed you will also attend the lunch. Lunch should be paid for on the day to allow you flexibility of choice.

Closing date for booking is 12 May 2026

Thank you for booking to attend the Consorts Lunch.  Please contact the Clerk if you need to alter your booking.
