The Master, Mrs. Jane Fishwick, is delighted to invite members and their partners to join her and Brian for an unforgettable weekend in Birmingham. The weekend has been organised to allow members free time to explore and choose own lunchtime dining.

Hotel du Vin
The Hotel du Vin Birmingham is a city central hotel which boasts a prime location for many travelers, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the city center. Guests frequently praise the hotel’s cleanliness and the spacious, attractively designed rooms. The hotel has long been a landmark of hospitality. The hotel currently has rooms available with the following rates these are approximate and may rise over time.

Friday 15th May – Evening Reception and Dinner Hotel du Vin
Dress code: Smart casual. No badges required.
On Friday evening, members are invited to a reception followed by three course dinner in the elegant surroundings of the Belle Epoque room in the Hotel du Vin. Expect great conversation and a warm Birmingham welcome.
Saturday 16th May
Dress code: Casual and comfortable for walking.
Birmingham Walking Tour
Our day begins with a walking tour starting at the Hotel du Vin where we journey through the heart and history of Birmingham. The Tour will finish at the Pure Bar where members may partake of refreshments either there or in one of the many local public houses, cafes or restaurants.
Free time to visit the many museums of Birmingham
In the afternoon, there will be free time to allow members to relax or explore the city and many of the museums and art galleries which Birmingham has to offer. These include the following.

Returning to the city we head to the stylish and sophisticated setting of the BANK which boasts classic and inspired seasonal cooking. Dedicated to the philosophy of ingredient provenance. A drinks reception will be followed by a delicious three-course meal served in the Bank’s private dining room.
Sunday 17th May
Dress code: Smart casual.
Brindley Canal Cruise
Members are invited to take to the water for a two-hour cruise of Brimingham’s canals “The Venice of the North”.
Lunch
Members choice China Town offers many wonderful culinary delights. For those that favour a more traditional Sunday roast then there are many local eateries and public houses offering an extensive choice for both budget and palate.
Weekend Cost and Payment
The aim has been to keep costs sensible, inclusive, and affordable with the weekend being enjoyable for all.
A non-refundable deposit of £200 per person is required at the time of booking. This payment should be received by Thursday 19th March 2026 via the booking form.
The total cost of the weekend including hotel room bookings at Hotel du Vin will be £640.00 per person or £930.00 per couple, which includes the two dinners and excursions. The final balance is to be paid by Monday 13th April 2026. (Please note rooms are booked on a first come first served basis).

Travel
Members are to make their own arrangements for getting to and from Birmingham and their selected hotel. If you are arriving and departing from Birmingham New Street Station this is a short walk from the Hotel du Vin, however, should you require transport below are local taxi companies who will be able to assist you with any transportation requirements:

Car Parking
The Hotel du Vin has limited onsite parking for guests and is charged at £15 per night on a first-come, first-served basis. It is recommended to book in advance. Alternatively, there are several nearby options, including street parking (free 7:30 pm to 8:30 am), and the Snow Hill Multi Story Car Park, which is a 3-minute walk away and costs £22 per 24 hours.
