Liveryman Jeremy Simons was awarded an OBE in the new years honours. He has been a member of the company since 2004.
Jeremy is a Lay Assistant on the Court and advises on ceremonial matters.
He was elected to the City of London, Court of Common Council in 2004 to represent Castle Baynard, has been awarded an OBE for services to environmental conservation in London. He also recently chaired the Port Health & Environmental Services Committee, previously chairing the Hampstead Heath Management Committee.
Jeremy said: “I’m delighted to receive this honour. It has been a real privilege to serve London over the past two decades across its open spaces, the arts and education, and to chair London’s Port Health Authority. I would like to thank my colleagues and friends for their support and good counsels.”
