Held in the Rose and Crown, North Parade Oxford. We were six members and two guests, Anna and Tom Davies, Roger Sutton, Simon Flowers, Tim Denison and myself and Beverley Sutton and Chris Caunt were guests.
We introduced ourselves to Tim on his first visit and he explained his work as well. There are some interesting careers within the Livery. It was an evening of lively conversation and pub food.
We said farewell to Anna and Tom who are off to live in Washington on the 9th October, Sarah Hughes who was another of our Freemen has moved to Boston and earlier Ben Fernando moved to Baltimore, they are talking about forming the first US Hub! More to come.
So the Oxford Hub has lost four of its younger members. We will have to work hard to replace them. However, we still have a membership of seven regulars and two who have said that they will join us, plus our guests, so we are still in good shape and will continue. The next meeting is scheduled for the 19th November 2024.
