It was an honour for me to be invited this month, to St James’s Palace as a guest and a QEPrize Ambassador, to attend the ceremony and dinner for The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering 2024, and The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering 2025.
I was humbled, and excited, to talk with His Majesty The King, and HRH The Duke of Gloucester.
I proudly told them, that I am a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers and we talked about my PhD research being conducted at Orkney.
It was a wonderful occasion to celebrate the strength of engineering in the UK, plus the important achievements of engineers in this country.
QEPrize Ambassadors are early career engineers from all fields who volunteer for charitable and educational activities on behalf of The QEPrize Foundation.
