Dr Lyndon Bassett Davies 1936-2021
Lyndon was in ill health and unexpectedly finally died in hospital from pneumonia on Sunday 14th February age 85.
He was admitted to the Livery in 1992 and became senior Steward in 2008 in recognition of being convenor and secretary of the GLWG for 10 years. Lyndon’s expertise and experience lay in analytical instrumentation biomedical sciences and innovation and intellectual property management. He worked for many industries (Philips Scientific Ltd, Pye Unicam, Centec, Laboratory of the Government Chemist) in the capacity of Chairman, Director or Manager, and was intimately involved with many trade organisations, in particular.

Where he served with distinction
Lyndon had a strong commitment to WCSIM and was an active supporter of the Livery through his regular attendance at Livery functions with his wife Alison.
He will be greatly missed.
