The SIM Bristol Hub met on Saturday 24th June for a guided tour of the Aero Space Bristol museum
Liveryman Joanna Migdal’s husband George White led a fascinating tour of the Museum, based on his family who had founded the Bristol Aeroplane Company. We were delighted to be joined by Sir Iain Gray, Director of Aerospace, Cranfield University and Chair of the Board of Aerospace Bristol.
Lunch conversation flowed and fascinating details of how businesses had been set up. The younger members described their new venture of measuring the very very small using totally new methodology. The access to those outstanding in their fields was as ever fruitful.
Those who attended were gifted a book “Take Flight”.

It is hoped that the next meeting of the Bristol Hub will be to visit the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Bristol University. Dates to be confirmed.
