The Master and Mike Belton represented the Company at this year’s London Careers Festival held in the Guildhall in partnership with the Livery Schools Link which works with Livery Companies and schools to benefit young people in education. On display were the new pop-up banners designed by the ever creative Clerk, and grateful thanks to the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) for the use of some wonderful equipment.

On Thursday 12 February the Master and Charity Secretary represented the Company at the Annual Veterans’ Garden Launch at Guildhall. This year the theme is a garden of senses, for blind veterans or those with sight difficulties. The garden is part of the launch for this year’s Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch which will take place on Thursday 16th April 2026 at the Guildhall to raise funds to support veterans of His Majesty’s Armed Forces. On Monday 3 November the Master and Charity Secretary represented the Company at the Annual Garden of Remembrance Service at St Paul’s Cathedral. The Service was attended by the Lord Mayor, Lady Mayoress, Sheriffs, senior representatives of the Royal British Legion, Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, Cadets from City of London schools and the Masters of all Livery Companies.

The Master, Senior Warden, Junior Warden and other SIM members were delighted to attend the HAC Light Cavalry Annual Inspection on Sunday in Windsor and to enjoy the splendid reception afterwards with the Lady Mayoress, the Prime Warden Blacksmiths and the Master Farrier.
The Master’s Consort, Pauline recently hosted an Afternoon Tea at the Oriental Club. A splendid spread of sandwiches, scones and cakes was washed down with champagne (and tea!). Pauline thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon thanks all those who attended.
