The SIM Oxford Hub held a meeting on the 22nd November at the Rose and Crown. As usual there was good and informed conversation, catching up with everyone’s news and progress, and generally putting the World to rights. The evening finishes with a curry next door.

Indeed, why not march down the centre of the road, and get a once-in-a-lifetime view of the striking buildings on either side? Add in the crowds, who are standing four deep next to the road and cheering you on, and your stately progress verges on the royal!

On an unseasonably balmy 13th October, four livery companies took to the Thames to sail under the nine London bridges that have been lit up as part of the Illuminated River Project – the longest art installation in the world.

David was Master in 1995 having become a Liveryman in 1977. He died on 7 August 2022.
